15 Host Organisations
Host organisations (businesses and charities) mentor one youth Intern during the 6 week program. Interns and hosts learn from each other as you will help your host with their social media activities. This partnership enables you to experience different career possibilities, gain confidence and build skills that will serve you in your career after high-school.

6 Weeks Summer Internship
During the 6 weeks you will spend 3 days a week with the other interns developing skills in marketing and social media management, and 2 days working within your respective host business or charity, practicing their new skills by helping to manage your host-organisation’s social media activities.
How the internship works
As an Intern, you will learn some marketing fundamentals and how to manage social media for a business which you will practice in your Host-Business or Charity 2 days a week. You will also have 3 days of in-person sessions with the other interns, where you will learn from our professional marketing consultant and other guest speakers, put your skills to work for your Host-business or Charity, and get 1-on-1 coaching sessions to support you in your personal and professional goals.
Host-Businesses or Charities host a SkillCraft intern in their organization 2 days a week for 6 weeks this summer. During this time, the host will mentor their intern while they help develop and share social media content for the organization during the internship. The idea is a give & give experience where the young person helps the organization with social media while they get exposure to the organization’s work, industry and to the working world itself.
